Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using the Garage4As platform. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

1Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Garage4As ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the Garage4As website at garage4as.com, mobile applications, and all related services (collectively, the "Platform").

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Platform. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

2Description of Service

Garage4As is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects independent mechanics ("Mechanics") with property owners who have available garage or workshop space ("Hosts"). The Platform facilitates discovery, booking, and payment for the temporary use of garage space.

Garage4As is a technology platform only. We are not a party to any agreement between Mechanics and Hosts, and we do not own, operate, manage, or control any garage space listed on the Platform. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing.

3User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account with accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3.2 Account Types

  • Mechanic: A user who books garage space to perform automotive work.
  • Host: A user who lists garage or workshop space for Mechanics to rent.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a risk to other users or the platform.

4Bookings & Payments

4.1 Platform Fee

Garage4As charges a 12% platform fee on all transactions. This fee is deducted from the total booking amount before the payout is sent to the Host.

4.2 Host Maintenance Fee

Hosts are charged a flat $2.00/month maintenance fee to keep their listings active on the platform. This fee covers infrastructure, listing management, and platform support. The fee is charged monthly and is non-refundable once the billing cycle has begun.

4.3 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely. We do not store your full card details on our servers. You authorize us to charge your payment method for all bookings you confirm on the Platform.

4.4 Taxes

Applicable sales tax is calculated at checkout based on the booking location and is displayed before you confirm payment. You are responsible for any additional taxes that may apply to your use of the Platform.

4.5 Payouts

Host earnings are deposited to their connected bank account typically within 2–5 business days after a booking is completed. Payouts are subject to deduction of the platform fee and any applicable processing charges.

5Cancellation & Refund Policy

The following cancellation policy applies to all bookings on the Platform:

5.1 Mechanic Cancels — 24 Hours or More Before Start

A full refund is issued, minus the exact payment processing fee (2.9% of the total + $0.30). The Mechanic is informed of the fee deduction at the time of cancellation.

5.2 Mechanic Cancels — Within 24 Hours of Start

A refund of 50% of the booking subtotal plus the full tax amount is issued. The remaining non-refundable 50% of the subtotal is split equally between the Host (25%) and Garage4As (25%).

5.3 Host Cancels

The Mechanic receives a full refund with no deductions. Repeated host cancellations may result in listing suspension under our strike policy.

5.4 Processing Time

Refunds are typically reflected on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

6Host Responsibilities

  • Ensure your listing is accurate, up-to-date, and not misleading.
  • Maintain the garage space in a safe, clean, and functional condition.
  • Comply with all local zoning laws, building codes, and permit requirements.
  • Be available or designate a representative for access during booked hours.
  • Disclose any restrictions, hazards, or limitations in the listing description.

7Mechanic Responsibilities

  • Use the garage space only for the purposes stated in the booking.
  • Carry your own general liability insurance adequate for your work.
  • Leave the space in the same condition as found — clean and undamaged.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, safety regulations, and Host rules.
  • Not sublease or share access to a booked space with unauthorized parties.

8Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or booking requests.
  • Use the platform to facilitate illegal activity of any kind.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
  • Attempt to circumvent the platform by arranging off-platform payments.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse any part of the Platform.
  • Create multiple accounts to evade suspensions or restrictions.

9Reviews & Disputes

9.1 Reviews

Both Mechanics and Hosts may leave reviews after a completed booking. Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. We reserve the right to remove reviews that violate our guidelines.

9.2 Disputes

If a dispute arises between a Mechanic and Host, both parties should first attempt to resolve it directly via the in-app chat. If unresolved, contact our support team at support@garage4as.com. We may mediate but are not obligated to resolve disputes between users.

10Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including logos, design, text, graphics, and software — is the property of Garage4As or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

By posting content (listings, photos, reviews) on the Platform, you grant Garage4As a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the Platform.

11Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Garage4As shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, lost profits, or loss of data.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Garage4As in the three months preceding the claim.

12Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Garage4As and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York.

14Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
