How to Cancel a Booking
To cancel a booking, go to your Dashboard, find the booking you want to cancel, and click the Cancel Booking button. You will be shown a summary of your refund amount before you confirm.
Hosts can cancel bookings from their dashboard under Manage Bookings. Host cancellations are subject to our strike policy — repeated cancellations may result in listing suspension.
Processing Fee Explanation
When a Mechanic cancels 24 hours or more before their booking, a small payment processing fee is deducted from the refund. This fee (2.9% of the booking total + $0.30) is charged by our payment processor when a transaction is made and is non-recoverable — even on cancellation.
The exact fee amount is displayed clearly at the time of cancellation before you confirm.
Refund Timeline
Refunds are initiated by Garage4As immediately upon cancellation approval. However, the time it takes to appear on your bank statement depends on your bank or card issuer — typically 5–10 business days. We have no control over this timeline once the refund has been issued from our end.
No-Show Policy
If a Mechanic does not show up for a confirmed booking without cancelling, it is treated as a late cancellation (within 24 hours). No refund will be issued in this case. If a Host is unavailable or the space is inaccessible at the time of booking, contact support immediately — a full refund will be processed.
Disputes
If you believe a refund was processed incorrectly, or if you have a dispute related to a cancellation, please contact our support team within 7 days of the cancellation date. We will review the case and respond within 3 business days.
