For Hosts
- Keep your listing accurate — update pricing, availability, and amenities whenever they change.
- Ensure the garage space is safe, clean, and in the condition shown in your photos before every booking.
- Comply with all local zoning laws, permits, and regulations applicable to renting out your space.
- Be on time or designate a reliable contact to provide access at the booked start time.
- Respond to booking inquiries and messages within a reasonable time.
- Do not cancel bookings without good cause. Repeated cancellations harm Mechanics and affect your standing on the platform.
For Mechanics
- Use the booked space only for the automotive work described in your booking.
- Carry your own general liability insurance appropriate for the work you perform.
- Leave the garage in the same condition as you found it — clean, organized, and undamaged.
- Dispose of waste (oil, fluids, debris) properly and in compliance with local regulations. Never leave hazardous materials on-site.
- Do not bring guests, helpers, or additional vehicles without prior agreement with the Host.
- Report any pre-existing damage to the Host and Garage4As before starting work.
Host Cancellation Strike System
To protect Mechanics from last-minute disruptions, we track host cancellations:
Strikes 1–2 — Warning
You will receive a formal warning via email. No action is taken against your listing at this stage.
Strike 3 — Final Warning
A final warning is issued. You are required to review your availability settings and ensure future bookings can be honored.
Strike 4 — Listing Review
Your listing is placed under temporary review. Our team may reach out to discuss the situation.
Strike 5+ — Automatic Suspension
Your listing is automatically suspended. Contact support to appeal if you believe the cancellations were outside your control.
Enforcement
Garage4As reserves the right to investigate any reported violation. Depending on severity, we may issue a warning, temporarily suspend a listing or account, or permanently remove a user from the platform without prior notice.
We are committed to maintaining a safe and fair marketplace. Decisions made by our trust and safety team are final, though users may appeal by contacting support.
